1. A friend got me into the blues so I have been trying to learn blues guitar and have been listening to a bunch of blues records. So far SRV is my favorite. What a loss that he's gone. I started by buying a couple of his "hits" and just love them (Pride and Joy and Crossfire). Now I guess I need to buy a whole album/5(84).

5. Apr 16,  · Yup. Stevie was a big Buddy Guy fan and that guy lives on the Neck/Middle. To my ears Neck/Middle and Neck dominate the SRV tonal universe. Add a TS and fender amp and your 10% there. Add SRV's heart, soul and fingers and you have the other 90%.
